Year 12 Mock Examinations
Year 12 mock examinations: Monday 23rd January -Friday 27th January 2023
I am writing to inform you that all students in Year 12 will be completing mock examinations across all subjects. The examination period begins on Monday 23rd January and will end on Friday 27th January 2023. Please see the timetable attached.
These examinations are exceedingly important. They are a significant indicator of students’ current working at grade. They will provide invaluable information about progress made and any additional support or intervention needed.
Breakfast will be available every morning from 8:00am in the canteen. Students are required to attend school every day they have an exam in their usual smart attire. If students do not have an exam they are invited to revise in the study centre or have permission to leave the site to revise at home. Similarly, if students do not have an exam at all they are invited to revise independently in the study centre or stay at home.
In order for the students to complete their exams, we are asking that they bring their own exam equipment with them. This should be a clear pencil case or plastic bag with all stationery items such as black pens, pencils, ruler, compasses and an eraser. Students should also ensure that they have a scientific calculator as this can be used in a number of exams such as Mathematics, Science and Economics. For more information about what they can and cannot bring into the exam rooms, please read the JCQ Information.
For morning examinations, students must arrive at school by 8.30am and should be ready to line up at 8:45am. This is fifteen minutes prior to the published start time. For afternoon examinations students must arrive at school by 1:00pm and should be ready to line up at 1:15pm, fifteen minutes prior to the published start time.
Please visit the exam section on our website for more information regarding exams.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself, Mr Welsford or your child’s PAM.
I am sure you will join me in wishing our students the best of luck and thank you in advance for your continued support.
