Pay Scale: | Point 10-14 £29,139 - £30,963 per annum (Actual salary £24,672 - £25,562) |

Hours/Weeks: | 36 Hours per week - Term time only |
We are looking to appoint a HLTA with good leadership, organisation, literacy, numeracy and communication skills. We require someone who shows initiative and flexibility, and is able to relate to vulnerable students who have difficulties to fully access, without support, the educational opportunities we provide. The successful candidate will also be a team leader directing supporting the work of the SENDCo and LSAs as well as teachers.
The successful candidate should:
- Have the confidence to plan for, work with and assess the progress of the children
- Be able to work independently with the class in addition to 1:1 and small group work
- Be able to cover classes in the absence of the class teacher including marking of work completed in line with the school’s marking and feedback policy
- Hold a HLTA certificate or Level 4 teaching assistant qualification
- Be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
- Have recent experience in a HLTA role, which has given you an up to date knowledge of the UK Curriculum
- Have had significant experience working with students who have special and additional educational needs.
