Sixth Form Prospectus

SMSJ’s Sixth Form was first opened in 2019, and over the last four years, we have seen our young adults transition into mature, independent and versatile students ready to step into the modern world of employment or higher education. We are very proud of our growing alumni community.

The leap from GCSEs to A-Levels can sometimes be challenging, but the staff at SMSJ work hard to make sure our students feel confident and supported at every milestone. We have exceptionally high standards, inspiring all students to be aspirational and ambitious. Our careers and aspiration support has been praised and recognised as a strength due to the tireless dedication of our Careers Advisor to ensure all students are provided with all the different opportunities available to them.

Our passionate and engaged subject specialist teachers will guide you towards academic success and inspire a lifelong love for learning. With continual support and a focus on excellent teacher-student relationships, our pastoral care ensures your emotional well-being is at the forefront of your progress. Our extra-curricular activities aim to kindle your aspirations, and we encourage leadership and collaboration skills through our Student Voice Programme, inspired by our school values of Wisdom, Service, and Hope.

Rooted in our inclusive Christian ethos, we firmly believe that "With God, everything is Possible." This belief drives us to be ambitious for our students, helping them to achieve their goals and become responsible citizens in a global city. At SMSJ, we know that every day is an opportunity for growth, so we expect our students to embrace these challenges with confidence, secure in the knowledge that they will be supported every step of the way.

We look forward to meeting and welcoming you in person to our Sixth Form.

Mr Oliver Welsford
Acting Head of Sixth Form
