At SMSJ, our curriculum caters for the needs of individual children and helps each pupil acquire knowledge, skills and practical abilities, regardless of gender, ethnicity or special needs.

Children follow a broad and balanced curriculum based on the programmes of study as outlined in the National Curriculum.

We provide for the moral, cultural, spiritual and physical development of all children, preparing them for the responsibilities, opportunities and experiences of adult life.

We use an integrated and creative approach to teaching and learning which offers an inspiring curriculum for all children enabling them to excel and reach their full potential.

The primary curriculum covers three phases; EYFS (early years foundation stage - Nursery and Reception), Key stage 1 ( Years 1 and 2) and key stage 2 (Years 3 - 6).
