I feel involved in decisions related to the expansion of our school. I can see that staff, governors, parents and the children themselves are really excited about the expansion of SMSJ into an all through school. It is fantastic to feel this vibe and be part of shaping the future of our school. Mrs E. Franklin, Parent of a Year 3 child

English Touring Opera works with hundreds of primary, secondary and special schools around the country, and the relationship with St Mary's and St John's is one of the most fulfilling and collaborative of all our partnerships. The school's ethos of providing equal opportunity for all its pupils and its belief in the transformative power of the arts, has a wonderful effect on the learning of the children, and promotes a real sense of community in the school. The children at St Mary's and St John's love performing, and enjoy both the discipline and fun of it, and the way in which it enhances both self-esteem and self-confidence. EnglishTouring Opera

Students and teachers may change over the years but the unique ethos of SMSJ has remained the same for as long as I can remember. As a previous student, of SMSJ, I remember the love and care provided by all staff and the wonderful friendships that were forged. Now, my two daughters are experiencing the same love, care and forging their own wonderful friendships. SMSJ has always been at the heart of the community and having been associated with it for over 30 years, there is nowhere else that I would send my children. As the school expands, my children will have even more opportunities to progress and develop. Parent of children in Y5 and Y3
