Physical Education

SMSJ has a long tradition of sporting success in both teams and individual sports.

We operate a broad programme which aims to instil an appreciation of the value of exercise, physical fitness and participation in sport, and to teach individual co-ordination, skill and team responsibility.

All children participate in PE lessons and games sessions regardless of ability or gender.

SMSJ enjoys excellent relations with many local and national organisations and full use is made of sports specialists.

All children benefit from high quality teaching by visiting sports coaches.  (All for Sport)

Our grounds and pitches are very well maintained and the facilities are of a high standard.

Our curriculum is supplemented by a range of out of school clubs.  In the past these have included both boys and girls football teams, cricket, netball, tag rugby and athletics.  We are frequently successful in Borough leagues, rallies and cup competitions.
